I’m Francesco Checchi and I provide advisory support for the development of anti corruption, transparency and accountability initiatives in the Eastern European and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

My work
I provide technical assistance to national anti corruption initiatives in the region, and I manage a regional anti corruption project. Most of my work aims to enhance transparency and accountability of public administration, within ministries and local governments.
I also promote new anti corruption initiatives that support human development including assessing corruption in basic services like health and education, and introducing tools that promote transparency and openness of public administration such as social media or social audit tools.
Some Achievements
2011 - 2012 Promoted initiation of anti corruption programmes in the region
2009 - 2010 Led process of developing and applying a methodology for assessing capacities of anti corruption agencies and supported them as they strengthened their capacities to prevent corruption
2007 - 2008 Developed a network of anti corruption practitioners in Eastern Europe and the CIS for providing technical assistance and support to agencies involved in the fight against corruption
