Moldova has signed the „e-SEE AGENDA” at Sarajevo

The Member states of the Stability pact for South-Eastern European countries (including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, former Yugoslavia of Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, Montenegro, and UNMIK/Kosovo) as well as Romania have signed the „eSEE Agenda +” which outlines the development of the information society during 2007-2012.

The above mentioned states:

  1. Accept the document  „i2010 – A European Information Society for growth and employment” as general framework for developing the Information Society in our region;
  2. Conform to the priorities stipulated in the „i2010 – A European Information Society for growth and employment”, but considering the specific aspects of the South Eastern European region, reformulate the priorities of developing an Information Society into priorities specific for our region:
    1. Further development of the Single ESE Information Space promoting an open and competitive internal market for the Information Society and media, moving it towards the Single European Information Space in terms of interoperability;
    2. Promoting „Innovation and Investment in ITC Research and Education in the private sector for promoting the increase and creating of a large number of jobs;
    3. Building an Inclusive Information Society promoting the increase and creating of jobs corresponding to a sustainable development and having as priorities the quality of life and better services.

The Moldovan delegation is lead by Mr. Pavel Buceatchi, the Vice-Minister of Information Development.
