Management
In addition to its thematic areas of programming, the Bratislava Regional Centre supports UNDP Country Offices in the region through improving management skills. Our mission is to create a critical mass of regional management advisory capacity, to further enhance the productivity, efficiency and accountability of RBEC country offices and to improve the delivery of results at the country level by strengthening country offices' capacity in the functional areas of management.
Across our work, we have a proven track record of defining realistic expectations, delivering results, monitoring progress and evaluating performance. We offer a coherent framework for strategic planning and programme management, based on the principles of transparency and accountability and using international quality standards (all our projects are run according to Prince 2 methodology). Our decentralized and innovative business culture promotes the integration of lessons learned into programme development.
Accountability
All UNDP's activities are conducted under legal agreements established in each country where we work. As an organization ultimately funded by the world's citizens, we are committed to making information related to our activities publicly available and accessible. Below you can find the documents which govern the work of UNDP at regional level in Europe and the CIS, as well as detailed information on individual regional and sub-regional projects and UNDP expenditure. Governing Documents and Annual Reports
Regional Programme Document 2006-2010 Based on an in-depth situation analysis, the multi-year RPD – approved by UNDP's Executive Board – provides a rationale and overall framework for UNDP's programmatic activities, in the region as a whole and in sub-regions.
Regional Project Document and Regional Programme Action Plan 2006-2010 A detailed breakdown of priority thematic areas of UNDP's work in the region, based on a situation analysis and previous programming experience.
