On March 15-17, more than 40 representatives of UNDP and Coca-Cola came together in Istanbul to discuss the challenges, opportunities, and technical realities with regards to a proposed partnership between Coca-Cola/EMED and UNDP/RBEC on a Joint Regional Water Initiatiative. This discussion was predicated by an agreement between UNDP and Coca-Cola to build on its successful collaboration in Turkey around the “Hayata-Arti” project and to expand this institutional partnership to a regional level to find solutions and to create impact on the issue of access to clean water—a mutual concern and objective of both organisations. |
