Slovak-UNDP Trust Fund
UNDP is working with the Government of the Slovak Republic as it strengthens its role in international development cooperation, providing official development assistance (ODA), and sharing Slovak experience and expertise with other countries, especially in terms of transition to a market economy and the European Union (EU) accession process.
Slovak-UNDP Trust Fund is helping to:
-
Identify Slovak experts to contribute to UNDP programmes in the Europe and CIS in countries that are a priority for Slovak ODA, and establish a database
-
Customize trainings and study-tours to Slovakia for countries that request relevant expertise from UNDP country offices in the region
-
Establish a programme for Slovak volunteers in countries receiving ODA from the Slovak Republic, in cooperation with Slovak nongovernmental development organizations, and the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and United Nations Volunteers
-
Strengthen capacities of public officials involved in Slovak ODA through education and opportunities to participate in international development events
-
Build a system to monitor and evaluate Slovak official development assistance
-
Introduce results based management of Slovak ODA to all key partners within the Government
-
Design and implement development programmes and strategies for selected countries
