Serbia opens national HIV/AIDS office

Serbia marked World AIDS Day on 1 December with the opening of the National HIV/AIDS Office for the Republic of Serbia. UN Resident Coordinator
for SCG (a.i.) Ann Lis Svensson and Serbian Health Minister Tomica Milosavljevic attended the opening ceremony.
The National Office will provide operational and technical support
to organizations involved in the implementation of the Republic of
Serbia HIV/AIDS Strategy.UNDP gave financial and institutional backing
for the establishment of the office, while the UN Thematic group for
HIV/AIDS and UNICEF provided technical assistance.
