Location: Slovakia, Bratislava

The Meeting was one of the activities of the regional project “ACPN Phase 2”. The project aims at delivering support for capacity development of anti-corruption agencies in the Eastern European and the CIS region. The project extends over three years but will support the creation of a mechanism that, building on the field presence of the UNDP Country Offices, will provide longer term support. The regional dimension of the project utilizes the existing Anti-Corruption Practitioners Network (ACPN) to mobilize regional expertise, international experts as well as UNDP and UNODC staff to provide capacity development support to selected AC agencies. During the meeting a Capacity Assessment Methodology tailored for preventive ACAs was presented and discussed (see attachment). A second fold of the meeting aimed at starting the work of capacity assessment of the three agencies involved in the project (the Agency of State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency and the Anti-Corruption Directorate of Montenegro). Discussions and presentations during the meeting allowed the organizers to gather the necessary information in order to design the capacity assessment af the three agencies.
