Major activities

 

Results:
·               UNDP Gender Mainstreaming Strategy elaborated and endorsed. 
·               According to recommendations of UNDP GM Strategy, UNDP Gender Task Group consisting of UNDP focal point and representatives from UNIFEM, UNV and UNRC office was set up to ensure gender mainstreaming in all areas of UNDP work.
·               Gender communication is improved through analysis and revision of work of projects in the area of gender and presence of Gender FP and Gender Expert.
·               UNDP staff capacity and awareness on gender mainstreaming was enhanced and raised through provision of training sessions as well as learning and individual meetings of programme/project staff with the gender expert.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The toolkit “Gender Mainstreaming Guidelines for UNDP Kazakhstan” was elaborated by the International Consultant who also made an assessment of programmes and projects in addition to the analysis conducted by the National Consultant. The guidelines were shared with all staff during consultative sessions and practical work.
