The objective of the Project is to support the development of gender policies in Georgia and Armenia, build capacity of women in decision-making positions in order to facilitate their active participation in political processes, and facilitate a dialogue on gender issues within political structures. In addition, the Project supports regional/South Caucasus cooperation, information sharing and strategy development on gender issues. MAIN ACTIVITIES: 1. Institutional support 2. Gender responsive national legislation and specific gender policy 3. National Action Plan on gender equality and the advancement of women 4. Capacity and competence on gender equality in state structure 5. Improved gender equality and increased representation within politics 6. Increased public awareness of gender equality issues |
