Intended Outcome of this project is “normalized relations among social groups and between communities, citizens and institutions.” Three inter-related project outputs shall support the achievement of this outcome in the following ways: 1.Increased women politicians’ and women elections candidates’ awareness of, mobilization around, and advocacy for gender related issues and concerns: by raising women politicians’ awareness of gender issues; building their capacity to advocate for gender issues within political parties and the government; and securing their commitment to advocate for gender-related issues during a conference, the project will contribute to normalized relations between citizens and institutions, as women will become more active contributors to decision-making processes. This however needs to be accompanied, in parallel, with education of voters on their rights and duties as citizens, so that they are also mobilized around gender-related issues and concerns and ensure accountability of their elected representatives to the agendas they were elected on: under this component, the project will achieve this by assisting women with identifying their priorities; increasing communication between women voters and women politicians; assisting women with promoting identified gender-related issues, and ensuring continued monitoring of – and reporting on - the performance of elected representatives. 2. Increased communication between Serb and Albanian women in Kosovo toward peace and security: by bringing more (Albanian) perspectives to enclaves through the media; and holding meetings in enclaves between Serb and Albanian women and political leaders, the project will increase communication among these social groups and between Serb citizens and institutions (as members of the Regional Women’s Lobby are women politicians in Serbia and Kosovo).
