Mr. Daniel Pitonak

Summary: Daniel Pitonak is Local Development Officer within the Country Support Team. He monitors, supports, evaluates and reports on the implementation of programmes/projects in the local development portfolio. In addtiion to that he identifies and develops strategic partnerships and networks with national counterparts, donors, business sector, associations, NGOs etc. to enhance synergies, maximize outputs, promote policy dialogue around the areas covered.



Mr. Daniel Skobla

Summary: Daniel Skobla is Poverty and Social Inclusion Officer with the Country Support Team at Bratislava Regional Centre, focusing on poverty, social inclusion and human development issues. Before coming to UNDP he worked as a research fellow at the Institute of Sociology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and as a programme manager at the Regional Environmental Center (REC) in Bratislava. Daniel studied economics and sociology at the Central European University (CEU) in Warsaw and obtained a Ph.D. at the Polish Acadedmy of Sciences. His research focused on regional development, social inequalities, ethnicity and nationalism.



Ms. Klara Tothova

Summary: Klara Tothova is Environmental Officer with the Country Support Team, responsible for development and implementation of environmental projects in Central Europe. The portfolio primarily includes projects financed from the Global Environmental Facility (GEF). Prior to joining UNDP Klara worked at the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, where she was involved in the development and enforcement of environmental regulations. She has extensive experience in planning, preparation, implementation and monitoring of internationally-funded development projects, mainly in Slovakia, Czech republic and Hungary.
