Ms. Krisztina Kiss

The National Liaison Officer supports the UNDP activities in Hungary. More specifically, the National Liaison Officer: · Maintains active contacts with relevant line ministries, government agencies, NGOs, UN agencies on UNDP programme activities in Hungary · Interacts with governments, UN agencies, donors, NGOs, and academic and research institutions to ensure the well-managed coordination and development of collaborative programmes and projects, with special emphasis on fundraising; · Effectively searches for fundraising opportunities by creating and expanding donor/client networks and partnerships; · Contributes to formulation of new project proposals that will reflect both government and UNDP programme priorities; · Assists in formulating, submitting, and implementing GEF project proposals; · Actively seeks establishment of public-private partnerships and development of joint initiatives with business sector in the framework of UNDP programme; · Maintains and provides for contacts with other UNDP country offices in the region in the UNDP programmes focusing on building the Hungary’s capacities in the area of international development cooperation; · Backstops and monitors the UNDP programme and activities in Hungary; · Analyses and reviews major socio-economic and political trends prevailing in Hungary; · Promotes greater awareness of UNDP’s mandate, programmes and advocacy initiatives; · Undertakes other tasks as requested by UNDP Regional Centre in Bratislava.

Ms. Klara Tothova

Summary: Klara Tothova is Environmental Officer with the Country Support Team, responsible for development and implementation of environmental projects in Central Europe. The portfolio primarily includes projects financed from the Global Environmental Facility (GEF). Prior to joining UNDP Klara worked at the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, where she was involved in the development and enforcement of environmental regulations. She has extensive experience in planning, preparation, implementation and monitoring of internationally-funded development projects, mainly in Slovakia, Czech republic and Hungary.
