Ms. Adriana Dinu

Summary: Adriana Dinu is Regional Technical Advisor for Biodiversity for Europe and CIS. She has 20 years of field experience in conservation and development in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Central America and Southern Africa. Since 1992, she has worked with the UNDP and the World Bank as a GEF Project Development Specialist, Chief Technical Advisor and biodiversity expert for a number of GEF-funded projects. From 2000-2005, she was based in South Africa as Development Director for Fauna & Flora International and before that in Washington, DC as Director for Habitat Programs for EarthVoice/The Humane Society of United States. From 1991-1996, Adriana worked as Romania Country Representative for IUCN and as a researcher in freshwater ecology at the University of Bucharest. Adriana holds a MSc in Genetics (University of Bucharest, 1987) and one in Ecotechny (UNESCO/Cousteau Chair of Ecotechny – European Program, 1994).



Ms. Nadezda Liscakova

Summary: Nadezda Liscakova is a Programme Assistant for GEF Regional Coordination Unit (RCU) in Bratislava, a part of Energy and Environment Practice. She supports managing GEF portfolio by assisting to Regional Technical Advisors in developing and managing projects, with focus on financial issues, advising COs on project cycle procedures, GEF rules and requirements,enhancing processes within the GEF project cycle. She is with UNDP-GEF since 2001.



Mr. Maxim Vergeichik

Summary: Currently Global Project Coordinator for UNDP/UNOPS/GEF global project on critical actions under the Program of Work on Protected Areas, Convention on Biological Diversity. I have been working for UNDP since 1999, first as a manager for a wetland protected areas project, then for UNDP Belarus as an environmental portfolio officer, then for Bulgaria in a similar capacity, and in the last year also with responsibilities over Bosnia and Herzegovina environmental portfolio, and helping a bit for Ukraine. I have been specifically focusing on two thematic areas - biodiversity and climate change, but also helped develop and supervise projects on sustianable land management, and cross-cutting capacity building for international conventions.
