Summary: Adriana Dinu is Regional Technical Advisor for Biodiversity for Europe and CIS. She has 20 years of field experience in conservation and development in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Central America and Southern Africa. Since 1992, she has worked with the UNDP and the World Bank as a GEF Project Development Specialist, Chief Technical Advisor and biodiversity expert for a number of GEF-funded projects. From 2000-2005, she was based in South Africa as Development Director for Fauna & Flora International and before that in Washington, DC as Director for Habitat Programs for EarthVoice/The Humane Society of United States. From 1991-1996, Adriana worked as Romania Country Representative for IUCN and as a researcher in freshwater ecology at the University of Bucharest. Adriana holds a MSc in Genetics (University of Bucharest, 1987) and one in Ecotechny (UNESCO/Cousteau Chair of Ecotechny – European Program, 1994). |
