Ms. Adriana Dinu

Summary: Adriana Dinu is Regional Technical Advisor for Biodiversity for Europe and CIS. She has 20 years of field experience in conservation and development in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Central America and Southern Africa. Since 1992, she has worked with the UNDP and the World Bank as a GEF Project Development Specialist, Chief Technical Advisor and biodiversity expert for a number of GEF-funded projects. From 2000-2005, she was based in South Africa as Development Director for Fauna & Flora International and before that in Washington, DC as Director for Habitat Programs for EarthVoice/The Humane Society of United States. From 1991-1996, Adriana worked as Romania Country Representative for IUCN and as a researcher in freshwater ecology at the University of Bucharest. Adriana holds a MSc in Genetics (University of Bucharest, 1987) and one in Ecotechny (UNESCO/Cousteau Chair of Ecotechny – European Program, 1994).



Mr. Vladimir Mamaev

Summary: Vladimir Mamaev is the GEF Regional Technical Advisor at the Bratislava Regional Centre. He is primarily responsible for the full range of UNDP GEF International Waters, Land Degradation, and Integrated Ecosystem Management (IEM) activities throughout the Europe and CIS. He provides technical, policy and other support service to UNDP country offices, executing agencies, GEF focal points and other government representatives, project teams, and potential and actual project proponents, to identify, develop, implement and monitor GEF projects in the region.



Ms. Dagmar Pfeiferova

Summary: Dagmar Pfeiferova is a Programme Assistant for GEF Regional Coordination Unit (RCU) in Bratislava, a part of Energy and Environment Practice. She supports managing GEF portfolio by assisting to Regional Technical Advisors in developing and managing projects, with focus on financial issues, advising COs on project cycle procedures, GEF rules and requirements,enhancing processes within the GEF project cycle. She is with UNDP-GEF since 2004.
