(Expected) Results / Outcome;
Major activities

A substantial amount of grid-connected wind energy will be installed in Azerbaijan.

The project outcomes are likely to include:

Stable policy frameworks developed at national, regional and local levels, covering issues such as stable frameworks for independent power producers, transparent tariff structures, power purchase agreements,simplified approval processes, rules governing competition and access to transmission  and other market oriented wind energy policies. On the regulatory side, codes ofpractice, industry standards, and equipment certification procedures will encourage more private-sector initiatives within the context of rules for bidding and transacting power purchases. Other issues which may form part of the project include reduced subsidies to fossil fuels, portfolio standards or fixed feed-in tariffs, strengthening of environmental policies such as emissions monitoring, standards  and disclosure.
Short description Reducing emissions of CO2 through a comprehensive barrier removal process focused on the development of wind energy.
