Major activities

The main objective is the Amount of investments leveraged for restoring the heat and hot water supply services on the basis of energy efficient central water heating systems, including the possibility for increasing use of cogenerated electricity and heat. UNDP is helping to develop the  capacity of the condominiums or other forms of consumer associations to manage their operations and to organize the heat and hot water supply services collectively at the building level. Important is to develop capacity of the local municipalities built to develop and implement sustainable heat and hot water supply plans and to manage the remaining assets of the former district heating systems The number of companies capacitated by the project to increase their business in the provision of energy services.
