Bringing together Capacity Development Practitioners
The capacity development Community of Practice is comprised of experienced national and local government officials, specialist consultants, prominent members of academia, NGOs and think-tanks, UN colleagues, and other development partners.
The Community of Practice is a means to share experiences and knowledge. Members provide practical advice and peer-to-peer solutions on a wide array of subject matter.
The capacity development approach is recognized as the key to sustainable human development and applicable to the work of the entire United Nations system, and our development partners.
UNDP forges dynamic partnerships – with national and local government counterparts – as well as civil society organizations, such as the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities in Serbia.
Other partners – such as the European Union, the Council of Europe, the Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV), international donors and the private sector – are working with the United Nations to respond to national development priorities.
