Hosted by UNDP Croatia, this year’s meeting will provide participants with a sound background – both from a theoretical perspective and through practical examples – in how to develop the institutional capacity of national partners for managing change processes, coordinating development aid, implementing projects and delivering public goods and services (collectively known as 'National Implementation Capacities'). Participants will also set regional capacity development priorities and map the demand for services related to capacity development for 2010.

Introduction to Capacity Development and Capacity Assessments - A training course for the Western Balkans Service Delivery project

Objectives: o Familiarize participants with UNDP’s approach to capacity development (CD), including the policy framework, capacity assessment (CA) methodology and CD response strategies o Train Western Balkans Project consultants in the application of CA/CD approaches specifically how to undertake capacity assessments. o Adapt Capacity Assessment methodology for utilization by Project consultants.
